Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said Turkey would do what was necessary to combat terrorism during an address at Erzincan University in the northeast on Friday.
“FETÖ, PKK, Daesh, DHKP-C, PYD or YPG. It doesn’t matter what they’re called, we will hold them to account. We will not surrender Turkey to terror,” said Yıldırım.
The prime minister also discussed Turkey’s newly launched joint venture to build the first domestically-produced car.
“Turkey will now make its own car. The domestic vehicle will be produced as a result of Turkish workers and engineers. It will soon be the jewel of our roads,” said Yıldırım.
Five firms - Anadolu Group (Isuzu), BMC, Kıraça Holding (Karsan Automotive) Turkcell and Zorlu Holding (Vestel) - formed the Joint Venture Group which will operate under the coordination of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
The prototype of the first domestically-produced car will be ready in 2019 and sales are due to start in 2021.
