Turks rank first among foreigners in Austria who got their COVID-19 shots with a vaccination rate of 73.2%, according to the Austrian Statistical Institute.
The institute published a study indicating the vaccination rate among people of different ethnicities, education, employment and social classes which reveals that vaccination among the educated and employed is more than that of the unemployed and less educated.
While the vaccination rate among people aged 25-64 who graduated from high school stands at 84%, the figure drops to 68% among primary school graduates.
Meanwhile, around 76% of those employed have been vaccinated compared with 69% of the unemployed.
Vaccination rates among foreigners living in the country were also examined in the study, which found that Turks born in Turkey and living in Austria were the group with the highest vaccination rate, at 73.2%. They were followed by Czechs, Germans and Afghans
Around 69.5% of Austrians have been vaccinated and 51.5% of foreigners have received a COVID-19 shot, according to the study.
