
Numan Kurtulmus, attending 150th Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly, holds talks with Shavkat Mirziyoyev
Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus was received on Monday by Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the capital Tashkent on the occasion of the 150th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The meeting took place behind closed doors at the Tashkent Congress Center.
Kurtulmus attended the IPU session held under the theme "Parliamentary Action for Social Development and Justice."
The event five-day event, which ends Wednesday, has welcomed nearly 2,000 delegates from 190 member countries, 15 observer countries, and over 25 international and inter-parliamentary organizations.
On X, Kurtulmus thanked Mirziyoyev for the meeting and said he hoped the visit will strengthen friendship between Türkiye and Uzbekistan and elevate cooperation to greater heights.
