Security forces killed two PKK terrorists in southeastern Mus province late Tuesday, the Turkish General Staff said Wednesday.
They were killed in a counter-terrorism air operation as they were planning to attack Turkish troops in Senyayla region of Mus, according to a statement.
Also in Silopi district of southeastern Sirnak province, six more terrorists surrendered, the statement added.
More than 1,200 people, including security personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
