Magazine aims to distribute multilingual, real-time coverage of international defense events through news agencies involved
Turkish defense publication A5 Defense Magazine has launched a new initiative to collaborate with international media outlets to expand the global reach of content related to defense industry and military sports, the magazine said in a statement on Friday.
A5 Defense Magazine owner Ipek Ipek is in talks with major international news agencies -- including Reuters, The Associated Press, Agence France-Presse (AFP), and Xinhua News Agency -- to establish syndication partnerships, according to the statement.
As part of the plan, the magazine aims to distribute multilingual, real-time coverage of international defense events through the agencies involved. The initiative also seeks to globally disseminate official press releases with joint tagging methods, boost the visibility of Turkish defense content on digital platforms, and synchronize media calendars.
The discussions also include potential collaborations on special interview series, cross-platform social media sharing, and co-produced editorial content.
Actively participating in major defense expos across Europe and Asia, A5 Defense Magazine supports the global visibility of Turkish defense companies. More than a traditional publication, A5 positions itself as an institutional representative of Türkiye's defense communication capabilities.
With this move, the magazine aims to become the first Turkish defense outlet to co-produce content at the level of major global news agencies.
"This initiative goes beyond a simple publishing effort," Ipek said.
"It's a strategic step to elevate Türkiye's presence in global media systems and broaden the perception and influence of the Turkish defense industry through media diplomacy. This project also signals the emergence of a new media perspective in the defense sector on behalf of Türkiye," she added.
