Two suspected suicide bombers have been detained at the central bus station of Söke town of the western Turkish province of Aydın.
During a search of their baggage, Kalashnikov rifles, a grenade, and a large amount of ammunition were seized by police.
The suspects had come from Didim town of Aydın, and were headed for another western province, Izmir.
Previously on Saturday, Istanbul police shot a suspected suicide bomber near Dolmabahçe Palace.
According to reports, police wanted to stop a man with a backpack whom they suspected of being a suicide bomber, but the man ignored police warnings.
Security ramped up following terror attacks
Security measures have been ramped up in Turkey after a suicide bombing which targeted Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square on January 12.
The suicide attack, which killed 11 people and wounded 15 on Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square, was discovered to be orchestrated by Daesh terrorist group.
Turkey, which has become a target of the terrorist group due to its opposition to terrorism, has witnessed several terror attacks.
The suicide bombing in Istanbul followed other suicide attacks in Suruç and Ankara.
The latter was the deadliest in the history of the Turkish Republic, as 102 people were killed in the incident.
