Turkish police storm a Daesh sleeper cell in Sakarya province, capturing seven key terrorists during the raid
A sleeper cell of the Daesh terrorist organization was stormed by the Turkish police in northwestern Turkish province of Sakarya; as many as seven possible Daesh bombers were captured in the raid.
Arrest warrants have been issued for the seven terrorists in Iraq.
Two suspects, Hassam Hamid İsmail and Alaa Velid Madi, are known to be 'execution police' of the terrorist organization while Ahmed Khairi Shukur Shukur is the suspected cyber terrorist.
Mohmood Mudhafar Yasen Yaseen, Mohammed Yaseen Hameed al Khafajei and Eymen İsmail Halil Halil were understood to have been tasked with finding terrorist members who didn't properly obey Daesh orders.
Turkey has been fighting against terrorist groups, particularly Daesh, in an effort to neutralize threats that specifically target Turkey, as the country has been a transit point for foreigners trying to enter Syria from Turkey or Turkey from Syria illegally to join various terrorist groups, due to its 900-kilometer border with Syria.
Ankara declared that tens of thousands of people were banned from entering Turkey in 2016.
More than up to 5,000 were expelled due to their suspected links with Daesh terrorists.
