Mehmet Doğan, a member of the PKK terrorist organization, was neutralized in Turkey’s southeastern province of Diyarbakır.
Four terrorists were neutralized in the operation against the PKK in the Kutlu village of Diyarbakir on June 29 and 30.
Among those neutralized in the operation, it was determined that the terrorist Mehmet Dogan, code-named Baran Salih Sinan, was responsible for the terrorist organization and was on the interior ministry’s most wanted list.
Additionally, a terrorist was neutralized in a counterterrorism operation in Diyarbakir’s Lice village on Saturday morning. Weapons and ammunition belonging to the terrorist were also seized.
More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and EU, resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
