Newly re-elected Guinean President Alpha Conde is set to be sworn in on Tuesday after winning the elections held on Oct. 18.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavuşoğlu is also set to attend the swearing-in ceremony in the capital Conakry, among other esteemed invitees from over 28 countries who will be in attendance.
Representatives from the United Nations and the African Union will also be present during the ceremony.
Guinean President Alpha Conde was re-elected for a third term after winning the country’s presidential elections held on Oct. 18 with 59,49% of the vote.
The results were announced after the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) concluded the vote-counting process.
International observers that monitored the elections said it was carried out properly, giving it a positive grade.
