The state of Rheinland-Pfalz has declared the mosque to be 'no longer grounded in the German constitution
The only Muslim kindergarten in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Al-Nur kindergarten, has been ordered to shut its doors over its alleged links to extremist ideology and the Muslim Brotherhood in Germany’s western city of Mainz, the Daily Mail reported on Wednesday.
The Arab Nile-Rhine mosque, which runs the kindergarten, was accused of hosting extremist preachers and distributing dangerous materials to the children.
The state of Rheinland-Pfalz has declared the mosque to be “no longer grounded in the German constitution.”
Following the decision, German state official Detlef Placzek said on Tuesday, “I regret that the license is no longer valid - it's a step that's been properly legally considered but is now undoubtedly necessary.”
A total of 22 children at the kindergarten will be transferred to other schools in the city, according to reports
