Arrest warrants have been issued for 243 soldiers who used the Bylock program, a cell phone application used by the coupist Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), in Turkey.
The simultaneous operations being conducted follow the arrest warrants issued by prosecutors in Istanbul.
Police are conducting raids on houses to arrest all suspects in 54 provinces of Turkey.
Turkey has been conducting an extensive investigation into FETÖ following the coup bid of July 15, which targeted the democratically-elected Turkish government.
The coup bid was instigated by Fetullah Gülen, the leader of FETÖ, who is currently in the U.S.
