Turkey's Prime Minister Yıldırım slams the EU, for it kept silent and showed a stance with the coupist terrorist group after the July 15 coup, rather than supporting ally Turkey

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıdırım on Tuesday called on Europe to give up supporting terrorist organizations against Turkey.

Speaking at a parliamentary group meeting in Ankara, Yıldırım said the European Union should decide whether it would work with Turkey or terror groups.

He strongly slammed EU's recent statement supporting the outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) and the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), both of whom are the biggest threats to the Turkish state.

“These days, some negative statements are coming from EU sides. These are far from objectiveness,” Yıldırım said.

He stated that the EU could not show its expected stance against the coup plotters who organized the deadliest coup attempt in Turkey on July 15.

“Everything was clear” after the putsch but the EU kept silent and then showed a stance in favor of the coupist terrorist group rather than supporting its ally Turkey, according to PM.

He said it was unrecognizable that the EU wants Turkey to change its terror law, while the country is conducting its largest counter-terror fight.

PM Yıldırım said that the detention of pro-PKK Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) lawmakers were a result of the judicial process as they repeatedly refused the courts' call for interrogation over the terror probe.

He vowed that Turkey would continue its fight against both PKK and FETÖ terrorists group with full determination.

Turkish military operations in the southeastern part of the country as well as northern Syria would continue until peace would be prevailed in the region, he added.

Ankara launched an operation in northern Syria, dubbed operation Euphrates Shield, along with moderate opposition Free Syrian Army fighters to clear the border from Daesh and the YPG /PYD terrorist group.

FSA fighters reached the outskirts of Daesh-stronghold al Bab, 50 kilometers northeast of Aleppo, as the city has a strategic importance for all factions in the region.

The Turkish military also took all preparation in the context of the development in Iraq's Mosul, where Iraqi military-led coalition forces are conducting an anti-Daesh operation, Turkish PM noted.
