At least 882 Israeli soldiers killed, 5,524 injured since Oct. 7, 2023, according to military figures
An Israeli reservist soldier was killed in clashes with Palestinian fighters in the central Gaza Strip, the military said on Thursday.
A military statement said the soldier was a team commander in the 551st Reserve Paratroopers Brigade of the army's 6551st Battalion.
It, however, did not provide details about the circumstances of his death.
At least 882 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 5,524 others injured since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict on Oct. 7, 2023, according to military figures.
Israel has continued a genocidal war on Gaza that has killed nearly 45,400 people, most of them women and children, since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.
Last month, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
