Ukraine has approved the use of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by China’s SinoVac, the Ukrainian deputy health minister announced on Wednesday.
Ukraine had started its vaccination campaign in February with the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca.
Last December, the country had signed a deal with SinoVac to acquire 1.9 million vaccine doses.
Ukraine has so far registered more than 1.46 million virus cases, including 28,925 deaths, since the start of the pandemic.
