A celebrity chef and restaurateur, who cooked up a storm on social media by posting videos of himself cooking gigantic portions of Turkish cuisine, paid a visit to the Consulate of Pakistan in Istanbul on Monday.
Wearing traditional Pakistani attire, Burak Özdemir, also know as CZNBurak, announced his plans to visit the South Asian country on Twitter.
"Jeevay jeevay Pakistan, jeevay jeevay Turkey. Hopefully we will visit Pakistan soon," the 26-year-old chef is heard expressing his greetings in both Urdu and Turkish in a short video posted on the micro-blogging website.
The Pakistani Consul General in Istanbul, Bilal Khan Pasha, retweeted the post of Özdemir with a photo attached in which the duo are seen posing for the cameras in the Istanbul consulate, saying: "Grateful dear Burak Bey for your visit to the consulate and expressing your unbound love. Long live Pakistan Turkey brotherhood & friendship."
Özdemir has also hosted world-famous figures such as the Muslim Russian UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who announced he was retiring on Saturday.
As of October 2020, Burak Özdemir has more than 1.44 million YouTube subscribers, over 463,000 Twitter followers, and 17,2 million Instagram followers.
