Turkey's benchmark stock index rose 0.27%, or 270.72 points, to start Friday's trading day at 102,211.07 points.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 0.66% to close the day at 101,940.34 points with a daily trading volume of 7.1 billion Turkish liras ($1.2 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.6700 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on the last trading day of the week, compared to 5.6640 at Thursday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also dropped to 6.1812, versus 6.2140, and one British pound traded for 6.9679 Turkish liras, down from 7.0170 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around 62.20 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Friday.
