Turkey's benchmark stock index slightly fell by 3.17 points, to start Thursday at 94,134.05 points.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased by 1.18% to close the day at 94,137.22 points with a daily trading volume 5.3 billion Turkish Liras ( nearly $1 billion)
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate went up to reach 5.8960 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Thursday, compared to 5.9020 at Wednesday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also rose to 6.5340, versus 6.5240, and one British pound traded for 7.5390 Turkish liras, while it stood at 7.5960 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around 58.89 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Thursday.
