The BIST 100 index gained 391.71 points to open at 82,103.40 on Tuesday morning in the first transactions.
The benchmark index increased by 0.48 percent while the banking and holding sector indexes rose by 0.55 and 0.50 percent respectively.
On the second trading day of the week, the metal basic sector index increased the most, by 0.87 percent.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate decreased to 3.7790 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, compared with 3.7840 at Monday's close.
Gold held at $1,211.58 an ounce.
The U.S. crude futures was flat at $52.35 a barrel, while benchmark Brent crude futures increased by 0.60 percent to reach $55.60.
