The Jamal Khashoggi murder is no longer just a criminal case. How the murder was committed, what was done, how it was set up, who participated or played a role, Khashoggi’s identity or his political side, the evidence to be obtained and the legal procedure that may arise henceforth have become matters of secondary importance.
Of course, we are not trivializing these. A journalist or a person is killed and his body is dismembered as soon as he enters his own consulate. This is conducted by executors directly linked to a country’s administration. They want to hide the atrocity, but when that cannot be done and audio recordings of the atrocity surface, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed start becoming inclined to blame the crime on the executors to save themselves. But the world is shaking and the Saudi administration is left under the ruins.
We are facing the most critical assassination and murder case of the intelligence operations in our region over the last decade. But the international sensitivity that has emerged as a result of the murder has superseded even the murder. A “Khashoggi disintegration” or a “stance” is observed from the internal policies of almost all countries to their international relations.
The power relations, showdowns, and undercover plans in the region and international equilibrium are being exposed one by one. Unbelievable details are being revealed. Many snapshots related to the world of the “unknown but guessable” are now laid bare. Clashes beyond the visible world are being brought to the fore. We meet once again with the ruthless face of the international system.
Many important objectives such as Saudi Arabia’s internal matter, power fights in the kingdom, regional plans implemented using the Saudi axis, the project implemented especially through the Crown Prince Salman and Zayed and aimed at destroying the whole region, the course of U.S.-Saudi relations, the Saudi breakdown in the U.S., and what’s more, the money blackmail concerning this country, U.S. President Donald Trump administration’s audacity to make the Khashoggi about money, and indicating signs of the ability to seize hundreds and billions of dollars of Saudi assets in the U.S. market are no longer a secret for those who know how to interpret such aims.
I have been writing about this process for a year and a half. At a time when nobody was yet aware of the new regional scenario played out through Salman and Zayed and the map operation, I kept on writing that this duo will destroy the whole region, that they are committing great evils against Turkey and will continue to do so, that the infrastructure of the Saudi Arabia-Iran war is being prepared through them, that they are involved in every “anti-Turkey” intervention together with terrorist organizations to eliminate all of Turkey’s opportunities to intervene in this regional chaos, and that they have undertaken the regional bid of Western projects aimed at toppling President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
I gave examples too. I warned that the two are one and the same project, that a multinational scenario aimed at destroying the whole region is being played out through them, and made statements such as, “These two men must be prevented, they must be stopped. If they are not stopped, the region is going to be dragged into great crises.”
The real trap was set against Saudi Arabia. Even though a Saudi Arabia-U.S.-Israel rapport was established and discourse about shielding the Riyadh administration from Iran, the objective was to destroy Saudi Arabia through Salman and Zayed. The next front after the Syria war was the Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia. They never understood this, they could not understand it. Turkey understood it, but the Arab political mind was blinded.
Now Saudi Arabia is in a very difficult situation. The world collapsed over them. Crown Prince Salman is going through a tough test via Zayed, who has control over him. If the gravity of the situation after the facts revealed with the Khashoggi murder is not comprehended, we will witness a “Saudi Arabia front” in less than a few years. Selling weapons and overnight buildups aside, the Trump administration is using even the Khashoggi murder seize this Saudi Arabia’s hundreds of billions of dollars.
The Riyadh administration must dethrone Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at once. It has no other choice. Otherwise, it is going to pay very heavy prices. If they fail to quash the trap set up targeting Saudi Arabia through bin Zayed, they will be victims of Trump’s “You won’t last two weeks” statement, and the process is going to start to work in that direction. The plot set up through Zayed and Salman must be quelled at once.
It is the same in terms of Turkey. It is the same for all the countries in the region. This duo must be taken out of the entire region and neutralized. Otherwise they are going to throw the region in fire. This may seem odd for those who learned about the situation through the Khashoggi murder alone. But those who have been carefully following developments over the last three years will see the reality of the scenario.
Turkey will know the value of what it holds against Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed, who caused catastrophic harm, as well as Israeli and Egyptian intelligence.
