Danger of starvation

The asylum seekers who have reached Piraeus Port are being kept there in order to keep them from accumulating at the borders. Their numbers are estimated in the 200,000s. The Greek-Macedonian border is opened under control, and about 10 people are allowed to enter Europe through Macedonia. Afghans and Iraqis are not allowed entry under any circumstances. Syrians are chosen and granted a European visa; those who have stayed in Turkey for more than six months are sent back to Turkey with the excuse that they have the “wrong stamp” on their documents.
