Hezbollah accuses Israel of being behind wireless device explosions across Lebanon

Ten rockets launched from Lebanon landed in open areas in Upper Galilee in northern Israel on Thursday, according to Israeli media.

Israeli Channel 12 said "buildings" in the illegal "settlement of Zar'it" were damaged due to the falling rockets from Lebanon.

No injuries were reported.

The rocket fires came one day after two waves of wireless device explosions in Lebanon killed at least 37 people and injured 3,000 others.

The Lebanese government and Hezbollah group have accused Israel of being behind the device explosions, with Hezbollah vowing retaliation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to hold security consultations on Thursday evening to discuss the current border tension with Lebanon, the same broadcaster said.

There has been no Israeli comment on the blasts, which came amid an escalation in cross-border warfare between Israel and Hezbollah since the start of Israel's deadly war on the Gaza Strip, which has killed nearly 41,300 people, mostly women and children, following a cross-border attack by Hamas last Oct. 7.

Hezbollah said early Thursday that it had attacked an Israeli military site near the Lebanese-Israeli border, injuring at least eight Israelis.
