Turkish community members are collecting aid materials for quake-hit Türkiye
Belgium’s prime minister on Tuesday visited a center where aid packages for Turkish quake victims are being collected for shipment.
Alexander De Croo went to the center in the city of Antwerp, where he also met members of the Turkish community.
Turkish Consul General in Anvers Batu Kesmen accompanied De Croo, who on Twitter expressed Belgium’s solidarity with quake-hit Türkiye and Syria.
The prime minister also voiced concern for the family members and friends in Türkiye of the Turks living in Belgium.
He also shared photos taken with Turkish community members.
Over 35,400 people have died in the magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 quakes that struck southern Türkiye nine hours apart on Feb. 6.
