A clash occurred when terrorists opened fire on police; two terrorists killed and four officers injured
Two terrorists were killed and four police officers injured during an operation by the security forces in Istanbul early Tuesday.
According to security sources, Istanbul Police Department's counter-terrorism unit launched series of operations against terrorist cell houses in the Gaziosmanpasa district.
A clash occurred when terrorists opened fire on police. During the clashes four police officers were hurt and rushed to hospital.
Following the operation, police took security measures around the district, located on the European side, west of the Bosphorus, and the operation is ongoing.
