Software developed by Haritaevi Aviation Engineering aims to manage physical obstacles for airports, air traffic control units, airlines, following International Civil Aviation Authority standards
Turkish firm Haritaevi Aviation Engineering developed "Airport Obstacle Identification and Analysis Software" to improve efficiency in the Kyrgyz Civil Aviation Agency's aviation operations.
The software developed in two months by a team of seven experts aims to manage physical obstacles for airports, air traffic control units, and airlines, among other stakeholders following the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO) standards, according to the information provided by the firm to Anadolu.
Exceeding technical requirements, the software can monitor naturally occurring and artificial obstacles around airports and analyze their interactions in either three-dimensional (3D) or two-dimensional (2D) views, as it is intended for use by airports to support safe operations.
This system enables effective physical obstacle management for all stakeholders, including airports, air traffic control units, and airlines.
The project focuses on monitoring natural or artificial obstacles around airports, analyzing their interactions with critical standard surfaces, and effectively managing them in 3D while assisting with the controlled development of surrounding infrastructure.
The system includes many core functions that allow for 2D and 3D map visualizations, as well as table data display.
External integrations to the software are also possible using two different Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in the version delivered to the KGSCAA.
The use of the system within the KGSCAA, supported by system experts, facilitates obstacle management according to ICAO standards and automates and accelerates analyses for airports.
As part of the project, the technical staff of the KGSCAA were provided hybrid training by the Haritaevi team.
The project's outcome, a special version of Haritaevi's in-house ObstacleAnalyze software for the KGSCAA, will be a gateway for Türkiye to further venture out in aviation software and technological developments in Asia.
