Turkey's electricity exports total 8,379 megawatt-hours, while imports amount to 1,220 megawatt-hours on Wednesday
Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.4% to 871,381 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 41,468 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 29,505 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 878,540 megawatt-hours on Wednesday with a 0.74% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas plants at 296,892 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal plants and hydroelectricity followed with 207,401 megawatt-hours and 136,293 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,379 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,220 megawatt-hours.
