A terror attack in Turkey's southeastern Siirt province martyred six village guards early Friday.
According to information gathered from security sources who cannot be named due to restrictions on talking to media, PKK terrorists attacked village guards and soldiers who were providing security for road maintenance work in the village of Ormandi.
The attack also injured three village guards and four soldiers. All have been taken to a state hospital.
An operation launched against the terrorists is ongoing.
In a separate operation in Turkey's Diyarbakir province, three terrorists were killed.
Turkish security forces have killed three PKK terrorists, who had injured six soldiers in an earlier attack, in the southeastern Turkish province of Diyarbakir, local officials said early Friday.
