President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the families of Emrah Sağaz, Muhammed Ali Aksu, Hüseyin Kısa, Ahmet Kocabay and Mehmet Şefik Şefkatlioğlu, who were martyred during the July 15 coup attempt staged by Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).
President Erdoğan conveyed his condolences to the July 15 martyrs' families at their homes in the Esenler district of Istanbul.
During the visit, locals showed their support for President Erdoğan by waving Turkish flags.
Hüseyin Kara, who was married with one child, died a martyr's death at the hospital where he was rushed to after having been crushed under a tank in Esenler on the night of July 15 coup attempt. 27-year-old Emrah Sağaz, who also died a martyr's death by being crushed under a tank, had been married for 1,5 years and was about to be a father. Sharing a similar fate with other martyrs, 38-year-old Muhammed Ali Aksu, who took to streets to protest against the coup plotters, was martyred by a tank driven by putschists. Ahmet Kocabay and Mehmet Şefik Şefkatlioğlu, who died a martyr's death while resisting against the FETÖ members' coup attempt, were 31 and 49 years old respectively.
