Iran fired more than 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday

The Israeli army confirmed on Friday that Iran targeted two of its air bases, Nevatim and Tel Nof, in recent attacks, according to Israeli Army Radio.

Despite the strikes, the army stated that both air bases remain fully operational.

“The bases are functioning at full capacity, and just yesterday and the day before, airstrikes were launched from these bases targeting Beirut," the army noted, referring to its attacks on Lebanon.

Nevatim Airbase, located near Beersheba in southern Israel, and Tel Nof Airbase, situated in Rehovot in the central region of the country, are key facilities for Israel's Air Force operations.

Iran fired more than 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Tehran warned that if Israel responds to the attack, it will face more “crushing attacks.”

Israel had targeted Nasrallah and other Hezbollah commanders in an airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Sept. 27.

Haniyeh was killed in a strike on his residence during a visit to Tehran in late July.
