Hamas' military wing says its fighters struck 2 Israeli armored personnel carriers with Yassin 105 rockets in Falouja area west of Jabalia camp

Hamas' military wing on Thursday said that its fighters targeted Israeli troops and two Israeli military vehicles in northern Gaza.

In a statement, the Al-Qassam Brigades said its fighters struck two Israeli armored personnel carriers with Yassin 105 rockets in the Falouja area west of the Jabalia camp.

In a separate statement, the group said it targeted an Israeli infantry force with a TBG rocket, and then inflicted casualties among them with “appropriate weapons.”

Earlier, the Israeli army announced in a statement that nine officers and soldiers were critically injured during battles in Gaza and southern Lebanon on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to observers, Israel has been tight-lipped about its human and material losses in the ongoing Gaza war, restricting media access, prohibiting the sharing of images and videos, and warning against releasing any information except through tightly controlled media channels.

Israel has continued a brutal offensive on Gaza following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7 last year, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.

More than 42,400 people have since been killed, mostly women and children, and over 99,100 injured, according to local health authorities.

The Israeli onslaught has displaced almost the entire population of the Gaza Strip amid an ongoing blockade that has led to severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine.

Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
