Following the bloody incident in Suruç, neither the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), nor the Good Party (İYİ Party), nor the Felicity Party (SP) stepped up and said a single word to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) or the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) or criticized them.
They instead held the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party responsible for the incident and harshly criticized it.
The three alliance parties have been doing this for a long time now. They are carefully avoiding any statement that would upset, bother or disturb the PKK/HDP. Just as in Suruç, when the PKK/HDP’s bloodshed and violence can no longer be hidden, they attack the AK Party and cover the PKK’s crime in cooperation.
Let us be sincere: We have no evidence that the CHP, İYİ Party or the SP have any direct relation to terror groups, namely the PKK and the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ). However, they are all walking in the same direction, toward the same goal. The HDP and of course the U.S. are also walking in the same direction as them, toward the same goal and want the same thing.
There is no doubt that what brings together all these disparate circles together, that makes them cooperate and protect one another is their enmity toward President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, their enmity toward the AK Party.
The opposition parties, with the PKK and FETÖ as their companions, in accordance with the U.S.’s wishes, want to collapse the AK Party and topple Erdoğan.
It will not happen, but let’s say it did; let’s assume that on June 24 they made the AK Party fall back, toppled Erdoğan, what are they going to achieve? Who is going to profit from this destruction?
The opposition alliance has no answer to this question. Their attitude is, “Let’s just overthrow him first, we will deal with the rest later.”
Yet, such incidents occurred many times before in our recent history.
On May 27, they said, “Let’s first overthrow [Adnan] Menderes, we will deal about the rest later.” The U.S., the West were the only winners.
There were no winners on Sept. 12; the state did not win, the people did not win, as a matter of fact, the military did not win either. The U.S. and the West were the winners.
Nobody gained on Feb. 28. While the Turkish economy plummeted, the interest lobby won, the superior mind won, the U.S. won, the West won.
God forbid, had July 15 succeeded, who would have won? The CHP? No. İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener? No. FETÖ? Not even them. It would again be the U.S., NATO, and the West that would’ve won. The whole of Turkey would be the losing party.
They are conducting the same operation once again in Turkey today. This time they are trying to conduct the operation via the ballot box. Disparate groups that have no principles, morals, or cause, that know no boundaries to their actions, that know no limit, line or frame in their alliance, are marching on, as if spellbound, in the same direction, toward the same goal, wielding sledgehammers, and picks and axes, to destroy, to collapse, and to ruin.
It will not happen, but let’s say that they succeed… They are too captivated to see they cannot achieve anything. They are too far from comprehension to notice that they are laying the bricks of a pyrrhic victory. They are so ravenous that they are unable to understand that they are going to drag Turkey into chaos, that they are going to hand Turkey, all of the country’s gains to the U.S., to the West, to NATO, to the interest lobby, and to the superior mind on a silver platter.
I have a call not only for the AK Party, the Nationalist People’s Party (MPH), and the Great Union Party (BBP), but to the CHP, İYİ Party, SP, the HDP and all other voters: Please just imagine what will happen to Turkey in the event that this opposition front wins on June 24.
Just imagine what is going to happen to the economy, the direction democracy will take, what will happen to all the gains Turkey has made in the recent period. Calculate how instability, unrest and tensions will rise again, how the PKK – which is presently and completely in a tight corner and at the point of elimination – will revive again, how FETÖ will celebrate, how the U.S. will rub its hands in glee, and how Europe is going to cry out victory.
Just think of how Turkey is going to melt away before our eyes, how our children’s future will be dimmed while disparate alliance parties quarrel away with one another.
The opposition alliance is walking in the same direction as the PKK, FETÖ and the U.S., which has them on a leash. An alliance that has no morals and principles is cooperating for destruction. This alliance wants to achieve what July 15 could not via the ballot box.
Some, who thought they are going to be rid of the AK Party and Erdoğan in the early hours on the night of July 15, came out on their balconies and cried victory, attacked muezzins – who make the call for prayer – and mosques. When they found out that the coup was a FETÖ coup, they hid in their homes in fear.
They are coming to do the exact same, to make Turkey relive July 15, to try, at the ballot box, once more to achieve what they failed on July 15.
Therefore, on June 24, we are all going to polls. We are going to go without neglecting. We are going to put aside our resentment, our personal scores and flock to the ballot boxes. We are going to write once more the history we made on July 15 on June 24 as well.
If the coup coalition wins on June 24, you will not only be the one to lose, but God forbid, you are also going to be the one to regret your entire life not resisting when you had the chance to resist the coup.
You can be sure that when the AK Party wins, when Erdoğan wins, you are going to be the one to win; Turkey, the people, Turks, Kurds, Palestine, and the world’s oppressed are going to be the ones to win again.
June 24 is a resistance. Don’t you dare fall back from this sacred resistance, this glorious struggle. Don’t you dare enslave yourself to a resentment that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. When your children, your grandchildren ask, “What did you do on June 24?” don’t have an answer that will make you hang your head in shame such as, “I didn’t vote” or “I voted for the coup coalition.”
June 24 is a resistance. Don’t miss the opportunity to lay a brick for this resistance
