Turkish fighter jets conducted an air campaign against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq and destroyed 26 targets used by the terrorist organization, the Turkish military said in a statement.
The operation was conducted on Monday as Turkey's F-16 and F-4 fighter jets pounded on Metina, Haftanin and Zap areas controlled by the terror groups, the military said.
According to the statement, gun positions, weapons depots, barracks and caves were among the targets.
PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by the US, EU and Turkey, has been the target of Turkish security forces' campaigns both inside Turkey and in Northern Iraq, the main base of the separatist group.
The Turkish military has been conducting comprehensive operations against PKK terrorism and swept several cities in southeastern Turkey of terror elements.
Government said the operations would continue till all the terror units were destroyed or left the country.
Nearly 4,000 PKK members have been killed in operations that began last summer, as more than 400 security officials were martyred in clashes with the militants.
