If PYD violates Turkish security, rules of engagement apply; Turkish military to retaliate, security sources say
Turkey is planning to apply its rules of engagement to the Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorist organization if it hit Turkish soil or impose any threat against Turkey's security, sources said.
As Ankara continues cross-border shelling of Daesh targets inside Syria under the rules of engagement, killing dozens of terrorist in the last week, Turkey will apply the same rules and action for the PYD terrorists.
According to Turkey's rules of engagement, the Turkish military will retaliate in the event of any violation of the Turkish border or security.
Turkey's military has the right to hit the points where threats or violations originate.
In recent weeks, there were many reports that PYD terrorists were fighting alongside PKK terrorists against Turkish forces in the southeastern district of Nusaybin.
If the claims are proved, the rules of engagement will be applied against the terror group and the military will strike PYD targets in Syria.
According to new rules, the Turkish military will also retaliate from the border targeting PYD positions if the group staged cross-border attack as Daesh has done.
