Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa survived a no-confidence vote in parliament over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, local media reported.

Opposition parties accused the premier of failing to handle the pandemic as well as weakening the institutions and the rule of law in the country, according to the Slovenian Press Agency.

Having survived the no-confidence vote on Monday, with 40 lawmakers voting in his favor and seven against, Jansa will stay in power until the next year's elections.
