Qatar has confirmed a new case of coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the total infections in the country to eight, according to the health ministry.
A ministry statement said a Qatari national recently evacuated from Iran was infected with the disease.
The Gulf state confirmed its first case of the novel coronavirus on Monday.
Known as COVID-19, coronavirus has now spread to more than 60 countries worldwide, including the U.S., U.K., Singapore, France, Russia, Spain and India.
The global death toll from the outbreak has reached 3,044, with more than 89,000 infected.
The World Health Organization, which already declared the outbreak an international health emergency, has updated the global risk level to ‘very high.’
