Hashd al-Shaabi terror organization purportedly supplies the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) with anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons

Founded by the call of Ali Sistani, the top Iraqi Shiite cleric, following Daesh's seizure of Mosul in 2014, the Shiite militia group is reportedly associating with the PKK.

In this context, those anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons were touched upon by top PKK leaders in a meeting at Qandil Mountain, the PKK terror group's stronghold in northern Iraq, according to an insider.

Established in 2014, the Hashd al-Shaabi is an umbrella group of pro-government Shia militias drawn up with the purpose of fighting the Daesh terrorist group.

Al-Hashd al-Shaabi has been controversial, since the Shia militia has been accused in the past of committing rights violations against Sunni-Muslim populations in areas taken from Daesh, including Iraq's western city of Fallujah.

Meanwhile, according to security sources, PKK and Shaabi terror leaders, who also previously met in a PKK terror camp in Sinjar, planned to attack the Turkmen town of Tal Afar.
