Turkish military sources said that about 10 Saudi fighter jets will be deployed to strategic Turkish İncirlik airbase within weeks to fight against Daesh terrorists in Syria, Turkish military sources said on Saturday.
The remarks came hours after Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu's announcement about Saudi jet deployment.
Çavuşoğlu told daily Yeni Şafak in Muhich on the sidelines of a security meeting that Turkey and Saudi Arabia could launch a ground operation as both countries agreed on deploying Saudi jets and troops to İncirlik airbase.
The Turkish Foreign Minister did not clear the number of jets and soldiers but Turkey's military sources confirmed the number of Saudi military aircraft which will fly to Turkey within a few weeks could be between 8 and 10.
