Two people dead after being hit by a truck while lying on road, taking selfie in Antalya province
Five people apparently posing for a selfie lying on a road were hit by a truck; two of them were killed. The accident occurred at 9:00 pm in Antalya province.
The bodies of the two people killed were taken to the morgue of Akdeniz University Medical Faculty Hospital.
The local police are investigating the incident.
This is only the latest example of fatal selfie accidents. A significant number of people worldwide have been killed by fast-moving trains or cars, or caused accidents, in their attempts to take selfies while driving.
