Turkish prosecutor shot and wounded in Antalya office

Public Prosecutor Kadir Küçüköner was shot and wounded by a policeman in his Korkuteli office, in the southern province of Antalya, according to reports.

Küçüköner was heavily wounded after being shot by a policeman. He was rushed to Akdeniz University Hospital by helicopter ambulance after he received initial treatment.

The policeman involved in the shooting was remanded into custody, according to Korkuteli District Governor Erol Tanrıkulu, noting that “the reason for the attack is so far still unknown. Our focus at the moment is the health of the prosecutor.”
