Turkey's Justice Minister Abdülhamit Gül on Monday refused U.S. Ambassador to Turkey John Bass’ offer to meet, after the United States said it suspended all non-immigrant visa operations in Turkey.
The U.S. Embassy stated that "applications from Turkey were halted for an indefinite period." The decision came after the arrest of a FETÖ-affiliated U.S. Consulate General employee.
The Turkish Embassy in the U.S. on Sunday announced that processing non-immigrant visa applications have been suspended in retaliation to the American move.
