Security measures at strategic Incirlik airbase, in southern Turkey's province of Adana, have been increased recently in light of terrorist bombings and other attacks that have taken place in the country.
The airbase is currently being used by the US, the UK, Germany, Qatar and Saudi military forces to launch airstrikes on Daesh in Syria.
Due to recent terror threats and attacks in Turkey, authorities have increased the security alert for the airbase to 'Charlie', one level below the highest level, 'Delta.'
As part of its security measures, all administrative leave for Turkish personnel has been canceled. In addition to tightening security on the 25-square-kilometer airbase, security measures were also heightened in the city of Adana.
Both Turkish and US police patrol the main entrance of the airbase, as Turkish personnel and service buses use a different door to enter and exit the facility.
