Protests coincide with delay in release by Hamas of 2nd group of Israeli hostages in Gaza
Thousands of Israelis on Saturday demonstrated in downtown Tel Aviv, demanding the government work to release all the hostages in the Gaza Strip.
The demonstrators raised a banner that read: “50 days of hell. We will not stop demonstrating until everyone returns,” local daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported.
Israelis demonstrate almost daily to demand the government work to release prisoners.
Protests coincide with delay in release of the second group of Israeli hostages by Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, which cited Tel Aviv's "non-compliance" with the humanitarian pause deal for delay.
