Ankara receives intelligence that PKK terrorists will use stringer and Katyusha missiles in countryside attacks, media report says
The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist organization is changing its strategy in countryside attacks and planning to use guided missiles.
Media reports say that Ankara received intelligence about PKK's new strategy in attacks on rural areas in the southeastern part of the country.
“PKK is going to use long-range rockets and missiles, different from the tactics used for decades by the terror group,” the report said.
“Ankara received information that the group is going to attack in the countryside very soon,” it said.
The reports came a day after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that terror organizations like PKK and Daesh have been receiving high-tech weapons from Western countries.
The report said that PKK can use surface-to-surface, surface-to-air, coordinate-directed, HOT anti-tank guided missile launchers against Turkish security forces.
PKK has Stinger and Katyusha missiles in its hands, the report said. highlighting that it had received most of the advanced-technology missiles from the PYD terrorist group in Syria.
