Over 70 kg of heroin seized in eastern Turkey
Efforts on to arrest suspects after drugs found in Van province
Over 70 kilograms (around 156 pounds) of heroin were seized in Turkey’s eastern Van province, police said on Saturday.
The drugs were found in 70 packs in three sacks hidden in a streambed in Baskale district, read a police statement.
Efforts are underway to track and arrest the suspects responsible, it added.
