Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recited the call to Morning Prayer (Adhan) at a mosque in the Presidential Palace Complex in the Baştepe neighborhood in Ankara on Thursday.
Following a failed coup attempt last week, Erdoğan returned to Ankara on Wednesday for a National Security Council (NSC) meeting and a cabinet meeting.
He recited the Adhan before his first morning prayer after returning to Ankara following the deadliest coup attempt that killed nearly 250 people and injured more than 1,500.
Amateur video footage of his Adhan has gone viral through social media networks. Footage taken by cell phone camera shows people took to the street towards the mosque while sound of Adhan came from Millet Mosque in the complex.
