The Governor of Ankara said the accident was caused because the bus driver was asleep
A bus traveling from Kastamonu to Ankara in Turkey toppled over on Saturday, killing eight passengers and leaving 34 wounded.
The bus departed from Kastamonu at around 12:30 a.m. The bus lost control at approximately 6:00 a.m. at the Çankırı-Çandır road crossing.
Eleven of the 34 wounded passengers are in critical condition. They were transported via ambulance to hospitals in Kırıkkale and Ankara.
The Governor of Ankara said the accident was caused because the bus driver was asleep. An investigation has been launched.
