A Syrian agent, seized by Syrian opponent fighters, has confessed that a treacherous coalition, including the CIA, al-Muhaberat and Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), was preparing to strike Turkey's border crossing with Syria in Yayladağı town during the night of the coup to provoke further tension and lead to the annexation of Turkey's southern provinces of Hatay and Antakya.
“They were preparing to provoke tension for five months. They planned to target the border gate in Yayladağı town in Hatay and then refugee camps near the Turkish border," the al-Muhaberat agent said, when he was interrogated by the opponents, who seized him while attempting to cross into Turkey.
The Yayladağı crossing serves as the main route to Syria's northwestern coastal area around Latakia, Assad's stronghold.
According to the agent, the Syrian part of the operation aiming to provoke further tension in Turkey has been led by a man called Nişan, a close friend of slain terrorist Mihraç Ural.
“He has lived in the Armenian-populated Kasab town near Latakia. Nişan has also been supported by the Armenian community in the States. They were planning to hit camps in the Yayladağı and Güveççi villages, which house over 6000 prefabricated shelters," he explained.
The operation in Turkey has been controlled by a local dealer, who runs a betting shop in Samandağı town, Hatay. “The dealer was close to Ural as well," the agent said.
“Following the attacks on Yayladağı and Güveççi camps, they would target Apaydın refugee camp, home to several senior officers who deserted Assad's army. They would stage an assault to look like an attack, launched by Daesh."
Mihraj Ural, a terrorist leader known for his close ties with Assad's family, was the key suspect in the double car bombings that killed 46 people in Reyhanlı, a town bordering Syria. Ural was leading al-Shabiba, an armed group aligned with the regime, before he was killed when a military convoy was targeted in Latakia by al-Ahrar al-Sham, an opposition group.
The Al-Muhaberat agent also confessed that Assad was planning to launch a series of attacks to stir chaos in Hatay, Antakya and particularly Samandağı, so as to achieve his ultimate goal: the annexation of Hatay and Antakya.
The captured agent then revealed astounding information that connects the Turkish border attack plan to the attempted coup plan. While the coup was being carried out, the border mayhem plan would have been carried out simultaneously.
“A large amount of weapons and bombs had been smuggled into Turkey through the towns of Çandır, Nişrin and Karamağara, bordering Syria. More than 40 militants would be involved in the attacks, later postponed by Damascus in June. We were told that the camps will be later struck with air raids when Turkey would suffer from an emergency case," the spy said, apparently referring to the July 15 coup bid.
The Al-Muhaberat agent then described how the American agents had conveniently been dispatched by humanitarian relief companies to the southern border town of Yayladağı.
“More than 10 American field agents arrived in Turkey, pretending to be relief workers and a UN official in order to support their plan. Two U.S. helicopters, which landed near Yayladağı border on Aug. 5, took six field agents from the operation area," he added.
