Turkish warplanes conduct an airstrike against PKK terrorists, neutralizing 24 of them in Dağlıca, Avaşin and Basyan districts
Turkish Interior Ministry has stated as many as 24 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists were neutralized in the fresh operations that were conducted by the Turkish warplanes as the total number of terrorists that were neutralized by warplanes reached 909.
The operation was conducted in Dağlıca of Hakkari province along with the Avaşin and Basyan districts.
Last week, Turkish forces conducted 221 operations that left 41 PKK terrorists neutralized, while 70 million Turkish lira worth of drugs and smuggled cigarettes were seized as a part of Turkey's counterterrorism efforts.
The figures of the ministry is the toll between November 14 and 21, as the total figure is the consequence of the land operation and airstrikes.
Gendarme forces, police officials and the military participated in the operation.
Five attacks prevented
As many as 50 terrorist shelters and 31 handmade explosives were destroyed while five terrorist attacks were prevented.
Also, 1.5 kilograms of plastic explosives, 315 kilograms of explosive material, 44 heavy and long barrels weapons and 87 hand bombs were captured.
394 PKK, 45 Daesh suspects detained
Meanwhile, 394 people were detained over their suspected links with the PKK terrorist organization.
Also, as many as 76 human smugglers were arrested; while 29 of the 45 suspected Daesh terrorists were also arrested by Turkey.
Turkey has been fighting against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists, the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) and Daesh terrorist organization in Turkey along with its fight in the region, particularly in Syria and Iraq.
