Turkish military says 4 terrorists killed in Mardin's Nusaybin, 8 in Şırnak as total number of neutralized terrorists reaches 698 in two provinces
As many as 12 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists have been killed in the ongoing operations in two southeastern Turkish provinces amid curfew in effect.
Four of the terrorists were killed in Mardin's Nusaybin town, while 8 others in Şırnak as total number of neutralized terrorists reaches 698 in two provinces.
As many as 358 of them were killed in Mardin, the remaining 331 were killed in Şırnak.
Eleven handmade explosives were destroyed in Nusaybin, while 19 more in Şırnak, which raised the total number of the destroyed explosives to 817 in Nusaybin and 915 in Şırnak.
Also, one Kalashnikov rifle two magazines, 175 cartridges, ammunition for six RPG-7, five dispatch flares, two radios, four gas masks and eight filters were seized during the operation in Nusaybin.
In another southeastern Turkish province of Şanlıurfa a PKK/PYD terrorist was captured while attempting to sneak into Turkey.
Also in Şırnak province, two PKK members surrendered after escaping from Northern Iraq.
During the ongoing operations in Çukurca town of another southeastern Turkish province of Hakkari, four terror supporters were captured.
Two Kalashnikov rifles, six shotguns, 230 cartridges for Kalashnikov rifles, 3,647 cartons of cigarettes and 3,300 kg of tea were seized.
In Şemdinli town of Hakkari, ammunition for four RPG-7 and two hand grenades were seized.
In Uludere town of Şırnak, two mortars and ammunition were seized.
More than 5,000 terrorists have been neutralized both in Turkey and Northern Iraq, according to the recent official Turkish figures.
