A private plane carried King Salman from the Turkish capital to Istanbul, where he will attend the 13th Summit of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The visiting king was greeted at Atatürk International Airport by a Turkish delegation, including Istanbul governor Vasip Şahin, Development Minister Cevdet Yılmaz and some state officials.
King Salman landed at the airport with the help of an escalator and elevator. Police took ultra-tight security measures in and around Istanbul's largest airport during his landing. Police helicopters hovered over the airport.
During his landing, a long convoy of 100 black vehicles, was waiting for him.
After arriving at the airport, the Saudi King and his delegation headed for the Çırağan Kempinski Hotel, where they will stay during the OIC summit.
Saudi King left the airport along with a fleet of at least 100 vehicles.
