The Assad regime and Iran-backed Shiite militia have violated the ceasefire in Syria's east
The ceasefire declared in Aleppo last night has been violated by the Assad regime. The regime and supporting militia have resumed their attacks.
The Assad regime violated the ceasefire declared last night by engaging in another attack with the supporting militia. Since 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, balls and mortar shells have been falling at various points of the frontline in the 6 square kilometers of land controlled by the opposition in Aleppo.
Bashar al-Assad's military forces and Iran-backed Shiite militia attacked the besieged east Aleppo region with heavy guns.
The attacks between Russian-led regime forces and the opposition stopped at 19:00 last night following Turkey's mediation.
The ceasefire agreement's conditions included the secure evacuation of the wounded, civilians and armed opposition members to the province of İdlib.
Opposition-controlled İdlib is in the South-west of Aleppo, and adjacent to Hatay.
The ceasefire agreement pushed forward by Turkey prioritized the evacuation of the wounded, civilians and armed opposition members to the province of İdlib. However the Shiite militia intervened at the first check point. Buses evacuating heavily injured citizens from Aleppo's east and passed the İzaa region were blocked and turned back at Shiite militia-controlled check points.
